Youth Program


During the worship service, babies and their parents are welcome in our Toddler Room: rocking chairs are available for nursing mothers; a change table is available in the Youth Room; toddler care is provided for toddlers aged 1 (walking) to 3 in the Toddler Room.


Sunday School (Sep – Jun)

Children from junior kindergarten to grade 10 attend Sunday school classes following the Gospel Light curriculum.

Summer Sunday School (Jul – Aug)

Children from kindergarten to grade 4 watch a Bible-based animated video; older children attend a Bible study.

December Fun Day 

Children and their parents get together for a couple of hours of fun. The event includes a time for building a ginger bread house singing Christmas carols and making their own pizza.

Youth Group Meetings and Fun Activities (Ages 16-22)

Our youth group meets on the Fourth Sunday of the month after Worship Service. Bible study and fun games.

Children’s Choir

On the last Sunday of the month our Sunday School children, wearing their choir gowns, will sing a hymn.

Bedtime Story with Jesus

Every Sat at 7pm Rev. Reine will read a Bible story appropriate for children up to age 8, but older brothers, sisters, and parents, are welcome to listen in. What a wonderful way to end the day. Parents are asked to teach their children how to mute/unmute. The Zoom link will be provided by Rev. Reine.

Family Service (May)

Youth, accompanied by a parent, lead various aspects of the Sunday worship service. The sermon is delivered by the Minister.

Youth Service (second Sunday in June)

Youth lead this Sunday worship service in prayer, praise and scripture reading.

Christmas Pageant (last Advent Sunday)

A Sunday worship service during which the younger children re-enact in full costume the Christmas Story culminating in a complete tableau of the Nativity scene. The older youth lead the worship service.

Heron Emergency Food Centre

In support of Heron Emergency Food Centre, the youth participate in a Youth Walkathon in October.

Church Life

The Junior Youth contribute to church life by hosting Coffee Hour and by baking and selling cupcakes in support of the church.

Older Youth contribute by reading scripture, providing sound during the worship service, by caring for toddlers during worship services and by assisting Sunday school teachers.
