Mission & Outreach

Heron Emergency Food Centre

As a founding member of the Heron Emergency Food Centre, St Timothy’s has supported HEFC since its inception. We donate food items regularly to HEFC and we also maintain a vegetable garden to provide fresh produce to the food centre.

Christmas Hampers

In collaboration with Wilson’s Your Independent Grocers, St Timothy’s purchases food hampers containing all the items needed for a Christmas dinner celebration.

The Ottawa Mission Basket

In December, the congregation collects and donates men’s toiletries, socks, underwear, hats and gloves for the Ottawa Mission.

Mission Projects

Our church identifies different local area and overseas projects which we collect funds for on a yearly basis.

OUTREACH

Café Connections

Every second Friday of the month a morning  gathering over coffee or tea is an opportunity for people in our congregation and the community to gather in fellowship in a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can feel a sense of belonging and acceptance. Our motto is “A little bit of coffee & a lot of love”. All are welcome!

Community Gardens

Nine vegetable garden plots are maintained on the front lawn of our church. Eight of the plots are let to members of the congregation or the community. The ninth plot is tended by volunteers with the produce donated to the Heron Emergency Food Centre.
